Jeffrey Delaurentis, an employee of the US Mission to the UN, speaking at a meeting of the Security Council of the world organization, blamed Russia for the difficult situation around the Zaporozhye nuclear power plant, completely ignoring the facts of the shelling of the object by the Ukrainian military.
According to him, Russia’s continued military presence in the area of the plant “continues to expose the Zaporozhye nuclear power plant and the entire region to serious danger.”
“We again call on Russia to stop all military operations at and around Ukrainian nuclear facilities, and return full control over them to Ukraine,” Delaurentis said.
