The Union of Grain Exporters announced the continuation of contractual obligations

Russian grain exporters will continue to fulfill their obligations regardless of the cancellation of the grain deal. About it declared in the Union of Grain Exporters.

“Russia is the largest supplier of wheat to the world market. We highly appreciate the trust of our customers and plan to continue supplying them with Russian grain at competitive prices, regardless of the development of events around the grain deal,” the message says.

The representative office assured that the contractual obligations of Russian grain exporters would be fulfilled.

July 17, the day the grain deal expires, Presidential Press Secretary Dmitry Peskov declaredthat in fact the Black Sea agreements ceased to be valid. He stressed that its action is terminated, since the Russian part of the deal is not being implemented. At the same time, Moscow is ready to return to the implementation of the agreements as soon as its conditions are met.

The deal was concluded on July 22, 2022 by representatives of Turkey and the UN, on the one hand, and representatives of Russia and Ukraine, on the other. The Ukrainian part of the deal implies the unhindered export of grain from the ports of Odessa, Yuzhny and Chernomorsk, the Russian part – easing restrictions on the export of Russian agricultural products and fertilizers. Since then, the agreement has been repeatedly extended, and the last agreement was reached in May.
