The UN General Assembly (GA) did not accept Canada’s amendment condemning Hamas to the draft resolution on the Middle East submitted by Jordan. TASS writes about this.
Earlier it was reported that Canada proposed to supplement the UN General Assembly draft on the Palestinian-Israeli conflict with a condemnation of Hamas attacks on Israel since October 7, 2023, and the taking of hostages.
The project was developed by a group of Arab countries with the support of other states and submitted for consideration by Jordan.
The document contains 14 points. They propose to respect humanitarian law, release hostages, provide humanitarian assistance and other measures.
