“We have expressed concern to the Ukrainian Ministry of Defense about the treatment of POWs, including the alleged killings of POWs by the Ukrainian Armed Forces,” she said.
Earlier, a video appeared on the network in which a Ukrainian military man point-blank shoots a Russian prisoner of war lying on the ground with his hands up from a machine gun in the head. The UN Commissioner for Human Rights considers the video to be genuine, Hurtado added.
This is not the first recording of the execution of Russian prisoners of war that has appeared on the Internet. In particular, on November 18, 2022, two videos circulated on Telegram channels, which allegedly depicted the execution of Russian servicemen who had surrendered to the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
