In addition, OHCHR documented 10 cases of physical violence and 6 cases of threats resulting from conflicts between parishioners of different Orthodox communities.
“However, tensions were particularly high in March and April 2023,” the report says.
Earlier, Verkhovna Rada Speaker Ruslan Stefanchuk said that there would not be enough votes in the Ukrainian parliament to completely ban the activities of the UOC. According to him, one cannot fail the vote in order to “simply please Russia.”
