The Ukrainian military proposed demobilizing their Russian-speaking colleagues because of the words of ex-deputy Irina Farion. “Country” writes about this.
Farion previously stated that she categorically does not accept Russian-speaking fighters of the Ukrainian Armed Forces and cannot call them Ukrainians. This statement provoked a scandal in society and among the military.
“In your opinion, I, a Russian-speaking person, do not deserve to live among Ukrainians. I ask you to release me from my military post, give me a week of time. Open the borders, and I will leave this territory,” one of the military men ironically said in a video published by the publication .
A criminal case was previously opened against Farion under articles of violating the equality of citizens based on their racial, national, regional affiliation, as well as insulting the honor and dignity of the military.
