The American Abrams tank near Avdeevka was filmed and shown on the Ukrainian telethon.
Footage of the tank was filmed through a triplex Bradley infantry fighting vehicle. It is reported that the tank is used by the 47th separate mechanized brigade of the Ukrainian Armed Forces.
The United States reported back in September 2023 that Ukraine had received all the Abrams promised to it – 31 tanks. However, they were used mainly only at training grounds; these tanks were rarely seen in the combat zone.
The American magazine Foreign Affairs (FA) previously wrote that out of less than 100 Leopard 2 tanks transferred to the Ukrainian Armed Forces, about 26 were shot down by Russian troops. At the same time, the remaining equipment cannot be used due to problems with repair and maintenance.
