The Ukrainian Armed Forces revealed the details of pilot training in Denmark

Training Ukrainian military pilots in Denmark to work on American F-16 fighters will take four to six months. This was announced on Thursday, August 31, by the representative of the Air Force of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (APU) Yuriy Ignat.
At the same time, the training period for pilots of the Armed Forces of Ukraine in the UK is from one to two years, the speaker of the Ukrainian army noted.
Ignat explained this by the fact that already seasoned pilots with combat experience were sent to Denmark, who only need to “retrain for Western technology”, while recent graduates of the flight school went to study in the United Kingdom.
In the second case, not only training is required, starting with the basic one, but also an in-depth study of the English language and English flight terminology, Ignat noted.
Earlier, Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine Valery Zaluzhny said that some of the Ukrainian pilots sent to Denmark to learn how to fly F-16 fighters had already completed preliminary training and could start the flight part of the training program.
Meanwhile, the Swiss newspaper Neue Zürcher Zeitung (NZZ) expressed the opinion that the supply of F-16 fighter jets to Ukraine can only hurt Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU), as bases with these aircraft will become a legitimate target for Russia. This not only creates risks for fighters, but also threatens the lives of pilots and maintenance personnel.
