Ministry of Health of the Russian Federation: an ambulance team came under fire from the Armed Forces of Ukraine in Gorlovka, a paramedic was injured
An ambulance brigade came under fire from the Armed Forces of Ukraine in Gorlovka, and a paramedic was wounded, the Russian Ministry of Health reports.
An ambulance team responded to a call to provide assistance to victims of the shelling of Gorlovka (DPR). While providing assistance, the doctors themselves came under repeated fire from the Ukrainian Armed Forces. The paramedic was injured and suffered acubarotrauma, which is damage to the hearing organs due to loud sound and a sharp change in pressure.
This is not the first time that ambulance workers come under fire from the Ukrainian army and are forced to resort to the help of colleagues. On January 12, a paramedic was killed during shelling of an ambulance brigade in Gorlovka. The republic’s hospitals are also regularly shelled.
