The Ukrainian Armed Forces called the weather an obstacle to the use of Abrams

Difficult weather conditions in late autumn will make it difficult to use in battle the American Abrams tanks that Kyiv finally received from the United States. The head of the press service of the Eastern Group of Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU), Ilya Yevlasha, spoke about this on Wednesday, September 27.
As the military man stated in a commentary to RBC-Ukraine, “difficult weather conditions and rains will affect the course of military operations and, accordingly, the use of new tanks on the battlefield.”
Yevlasha confirmed that further planning of combat operations of the Ukrainian army, including the use of Abrams, will be carried out according to “current circumstances.”
Earlier, former US Marine reconnaissance officer Scott Ritter predicted an unenviable fate for Abrams tanks in Ukraine, saying that the United States gave Russian President Vladimir Putin the opportunity to demonstrate to the world destruction of this equipment in combat.
At the same time, retired US Marine Corps captain Matthew Ho pointed out that the United States is in no hurry to transfer to Ukraine even outdated models of tanks that have been decommissioned from service, and they are not going to provide new models to Kiev at all, because they are afraid that this equipment could fall into the hands of the Russians.
