The UK predicted a “hard winter” for Ukraine

Attacks on critical infrastructure will make the winter very difficult for Ukraine, says Jack Watling, a researcher at the British Royal United Defense Studies Institute (RUSI). His words are quoted by RIA Novosti.
In his opinion, strikes by the Russian Armed Forces against critical infrastructure facilities pose a strategic threat to the Kyiv regime. Watling called on Ukraine to “prepare for a difficult winter.”
He also noted the growing strike capabilities of the Russian Armed Forces, as well as a more than twofold increase in the production of long-range missiles during the year.
Watling also believes that the gap in capabilities will be a big problem for the Ukrainian army, while, in his opinion, the remaining weapons and the pace of their production in the West will not allow Kyiv to even maintain the rate of ammunition consumption.
The Russian army began striking the infrastructure of Ukraine on October 10, in response to the terrorist attack on the Crimean Bridge. Strikes are carried out only on military targets, as well as energy facilities. During this time, air raid alerts in areas controlled by Kyiv are announced virtually every day, and periodically this happens throughout the country.
