The turnout in the presidential elections in the remote electronic voting system (DEG) was 94%, said the head of the territorial election commission DEG Oleg Artamonov. According to him, this is an absolute record in the world.
“This year, in these elections, we, of course, have an absolute record for the number of voters in remote electronic voting. We have 4.7 million voters registered and able to take part in the federal DEG system. This number is an absolute record both for the world and for Russia,” said Oleg Artamonov. A total of 4.4 million registered voters cast ballots, resulting in a turnout of 94%.
As the head of the Central Election Commission Ella Pamfilova said, since the beginning of the work of the DEG resources was prevented 280 thousand hacker attacks. According to her, 215 thousand of them were sent to the voting portal, 65 thousand to the voting monitoring portal. The DEG system is available in 29 Russian regions, including Moscow.
