According to a member of the group, Chairman of the Duma Committee on Labor and Social Policy Yaroslav Nilov (LDPR), the first meeting was held at the Ministry of Defense, and was attended by Defense Minister Sergei Shoigu, his deputy and State Secretary of the Ministry Nikolai Pankov, heads of departments of the Ministry of Defense . Andrey Turchak in his Telegram channel called the group “a feedback tool for the president from the front line”: “A tool for constant monitoring and obtaining objective information about the provision of mobilized citizens, about the receipt by them and their family members of established payments, and other measures of assistance required by law.” “The very name of the group suggests that this is a feedback mechanism. It is valuable from the point of view of receiving direct information about possible problems that arise, and broadcasting proposals for improving a particular system, ”said the press secretary of the President of Russia Dmitry Peskov to a question from Kommersant about whether the creation of a working group is connected with the desire the president to know about the real state of affairs in the Russian troops from additional sources. “Of course, the working group will present a report at the beginning of next year. No one will put it off indefinitely,” Dmitry Peskov told Kommersant.
