The Times: London intends to prolong the Ukrainian conflict

Britain and other European countries intend to prolong the Ukrainian conflict, The Times reports, citing a government official.
“It is necessary to launch a mechanism that will guarantee assistance to Ukraine in the conflict against Russia without the participation of the United States if Donald Trump comes to power,” the source explained.
According to him, the West is trying to increase production capacity across the continent in order to be able to send weapons and ammunition to Kyiv and contain the Russian army for at least another year.
At the same time, British military intelligence believes that Ukraine will not be able to win the conflict in 2024, since it has neither manpower nor weapons for a major breakthrough on the battlefield.
