The minimum period for the restoration of the Ukrainian energy infrastructure is several months, but a full restoration will take from a year to a year and a half. This was stated by the director of the Energy Research Center of Ukraine Oleksandr Kharchenko.
“Even if we leave out the attacks, the blackouts and stabilization schedules will not go anywhere for another couple of months. This is the minimum,” he said on the air of the telethon.
According to him, this is the most optimistic period needed to restore the energy system “to a state of life.” For a full recovery, it will take from a year to a year and a half.
Earlier, he said that in Kyiv, by mid-February, they plan to create backup generation to provide the city with water and heat.
