Head of the UAC: The state order for Su-57 fighters has doubled by the end of 2023
The state order for fifth-generation Su-57 fighters has doubled in 2023, and the order for 2024 is even larger. This statement was made by the head of the United Aircraft Corporation (UAC, part of Rostec) Yuri Slyusar, as quoted by the Rossiya-24 TV channel.
“…Everything that was provided for in both signed contracts and schedules was delivered on time, sometimes even ahead of schedule for individual plants…”, he said.
According to him, the company has increased orders at all plants, at some quite significantly. As for new aircraft, Slyusar noted, the order for the Su-57 aircraft has doubled.
He noted that the Su-57 fighter is difficult to manufacture, but the corporation did a decent job of delivering it to the customer. There are even more orders for the coming year, he concluded.
