State Duma deputy from the Communist Party Yuri Afonin sent a request to the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Russian Federation with a request to find out who held a rally in Khakassia against the current communist governor Valentin Konovalov, releasing a pig near the building of the regional government, on which a sickle and a hammer were drawn.

“I consider such provocative actions unacceptable,” the deputy said.

He added that he intends to apply to the Investigative Committee with a request to open a criminal case under articles on cruelty to animals and on the rehabilitation of Nazism because of the mockery of the symbols depicted on the Banner of Victory.

Afonin stressed that the election campaign should not go beyond the ethical framework.
