The activity of reconnaissance aircraft of the North Atlantic Alliance in recent weeks in the Black Sea may indicate that the military bloc is preparing a provocation against Russia. This opinion was expressed on Thursday, March 14, by State Duma deputy Mikhail Sheremet.

The parliamentarian representing Crimea in the State Duma recalled that “monitoring resources have recorded over the past two weeks a special, increased attention of NATO reconnaissance aircraft to the Crimean coast.” In particular, alliance aircraft are exploring the western, southern and eastern coasts of the peninsula, and recently – the water area in the Novorossiysk region.

All this may indicate the preparation of a provocation in the Black Sea, especially since it is no secret that the collected intelligence data is then transferred to Ukrainian troops for attacks on Crimea, Sheremet emphasized. He suggested that a provocation could be undertaken during the celebration of the anniversary of the reunification of Crimea with Russia and the holding of presidential elections.

Previously, a huge stir was caused by the publication of a conversation between Bundeswehr soldiers who discussed Germany’s possible role in Ukraine’s attack on the Crimean Bridge.

According to the permanent representative of the Republic of Crimea to the President of Russia, Deputy Prime Minister of the Crimean government Georgy Muradov, NATO air groups flying one after another over the Black Sea towards the Russian border, from where Russian fighters have to drive them away, is aggression, provoking Russia to the harshest possible response.
