Deputy Zatulin: The West is interested in a clash between Russia and the Islamic world
Western countries are interested in pitting Russia against the Islamic world. This statement was made first by the deputy head of the Russian State Duma Committee on CIS Affairs, Konstantin Zatulin, on Channel One.
He emphasized that the terrorist attack that occurred on March 22 at Crocus City Hall is not similar to the terrorist attacks of ISIS (a terrorist organization banned in Russia). The parliamentarian was also alarmed by the fact that the militants were moving towards Ukraine, and it was impossible to cross the border without prior agreements.
“This, of course, is a very suspicious story from the point of view of the involvement and interest of Western countries, which, it seems to me, are interested in this situation, among other things, in pitting Russia against the Islamic world,” Zatulin said.
According to him, the Islamic world feels sympathy for Russia not only because of what Moscow is now doing in Ukraine, but also because the Russian Federation is in no way to blame for the war in the Middle East.
