The parliament of the Kaluga region proposes to punish for hiring persons liable for military service or citizens subject to conscription for military service and who have not provided a military registration document. On Monday, May 29, the regional legislature submitted a relevant bill to the State Duma.
According to Kaluga residents, employers who enter into labor agreements with military service evaders should be fined. If the law is adopted, the fines imposed on officials will amount to from ten to twenty thousand rubles, on entrepreneurs working without forming a legal entity – from five to ten thousand, on legal entities – from fifty to one hundred thousand rubles.
In addition, it is proposed to punish managers and employees who are responsible for military registration work. Firstly, in cases where they do not inform the military commissariats about the hiring or dismissal of citizens who are or are required to be registered with the military. For this – a fine of five to twenty-five thousand. The same penalty is proposed to be set for late notification of military registration and enlistment offices about those liable for military service.
