The State Duma stripped the mandates of deputies Vlasov and Belousov – Kommersant

The State Duma, at a closed plenary meeting, adopted resolutions on the early termination of powers of deputy Vadim Belousov (A Just Russia – For Truth) and Vasily Vlasov (LDPR), reported TASS. The reason was the absence of deputies for more than 30 days at meetings of the committee and commission of which they were members. The powers of both deputies are considered to be terminated early on November 1, 2023.
Vadim Belousov, who was suspended due to his absence from meetings of the Committee for Protection of Competition, was sentenced in absentia last year by the Moscow City Court to ten years in prison for a bribe of 3 billion rubles. In August 2022, he was put on the wanted list.
Vasily Vlasov told Kommersant that the main complaint against him is that he did not attend meetings of the rules commission, of which he is a member. At the same time, he himself assures that he voted with a questionnaire – this form of participation in the work of committees and commissions is completely legal and was introduced during the coronavirus pandemic.
