The State Duma proposed to label a number of goods with the inscription “produced by an enemy of Russia”

Goods from unfriendly countries should be marked with the inscription “produced by the enemy of Russia”, declared RIA Novosti, First Deputy Head of the State Duma Committee on Defense, deputy from the Motherland party, Alexei Zhuravlev.

According to the deputy, many Western companies, which had previously announced the termination of their activities in Russia, “in one form or another” are still trying to sell their goods in the country.

“I am sure that such goods should be labeled “produced by the enemy of Russia”, and always in large print and in the most prominent place. So that the buyer knows that by giving away his money, he is also financing the enemy,” said Zhuravlev.

A number of departed companies are now returning, “without advertising it especially”, under other names, they do it “in collaboration” with manufacturers from countries friendly to us, the parliamentarian added. It is unwise not to pay attention to such expansion, Zhuravlev believes: “By publicly condemning the country, companies continue to make money on it.”

In March, Russian President Vladimir Putin declaredthat Russian business should occupy the niches vacated after the departure of Western companies, the opportunities that have appeared should not be missed. In February, Putin said that many foreign companies are leaving Russia under pressure from their governments, which causes them big losses. At the same time, the president drew attention to the fact that after the departure of brands, infrastructure and well-trained personnel remain. Domestic business has unique opportunities for development, he added.
