As informs Parliamentary newspaper, chairman of the Defense Committee of the State Duma of the Russian Federation Andrey Kartapolov announced plans to raise the military age limit in Russia.
The changes include a shift in the minimum age of recruits from 18 to 21 years, and the maximum from 27 to 30 years.
According to Kartapolov, the introduction of these changes will take from one to three years, and the process itself will take place in stages.
“Before the start of the spring conscription, each military commissariat will have to figure out how many people it has come under the new requirements,” he added.
