Deputy Novikov: Ukraine is scaring the West with Russia in order to get new help
Ukraine is trying to scare the West with the fact that Russia is allegedly threatening European states so that Kyiv can receive new help. This opinion was expressed by the first deputy head of the State Duma Committee on International Affairs, Dmitry Novikov, in a conversation with “Lentoy.ru”.
With these words, the parliamentarian responded to the words of the adviser to the head of the office of the President of Ukraine, Mikhail Podolyak, who announced a possible expansion of the conflict zone.
“Representatives of the Kyiv regime continue to look for arguments in the hope of convincing the West to invest in their support more and more actively. This need is caused by a number of circumstances,” the deputy said.
He emphasized that Kyiv needs Western help, since the counter-offensive of the Armed Forces of Ukraine has floundered, and Russia was able not only to survive, but is also planning further actions to demilitarize and denazify Ukraine.
In addition, Novikov noted that Kyiv is worried that Western countries have now begun to mainly deal with their internal problems before the elections, primarily in the United States.
