State Duma deputies did not consider in the spring session more than 10% of the initiatives that were included by committees in the program of bills subject to priority consideration, Vedomosti calculated, having read the report of the Duma apparatus.
In total, the program of the session, which ended at the end of July, included 364 bills, 44 of them are still being consulted and agreed upon or a decision was made to postpone them to a later date.
Among the “hanging” initiatives are government bills on punishing drivers for drug intoxication, on the online sale of wine through the Russian Post, and on optimizing the powers of the cabinet of ministers.
In total, during the spring session, the Duma adopted 500 laws, its chairman Vyacheslav Volodin reported earlier.
