The State Duma called the main combat advantages of the Su-34 fighter

Deputy Chairman of the Committee of the State Duma of the Russian Federation on Industry and Trade Alexander Spiridonov in an interview with “Lentoy.ru” stated that the Russian Su-34 fighter is an advanced model of an aircraft capable of performing a wide range of tasks and is distinguished by its special stealth design.

Spiridonov recalled that the Su-34 was created on the basis of the legendary Su-27, and the developers then managed to accurately determine its tasks for the future. In particular, according to the deputy, the aircraft provides superiority in air combat with any existing fighters, including the Western F-16, and it is also capable of striking deep from the front line.

The parliamentarian noted that the Su-34 has a high radar stealth, provided by well-designed hull elements and the successful use of composite materials and radar-absorbing coatings. Spiridonov stressed that the domestic fighter is more visible than stealth aircraft, but its supersonic flight speed makes it a difficult target for enemy air defense systems.

In addition, the deputy chairman of the Duma Committee pointed out that the aircraft has a solid structure and an improved protection system, and the cockpit, made of titanium alloy with armored glazing, is especially protected. Spiridonov also added that the fighter is equipped with an advanced navigation system and on-board electronics, which gives the pilot full control over the aircraft, increasing its maneuverability and effectiveness in combat. As the deputy noted, the Su-34 also has an impressive arsenal of weapons, including various missile and bomb weapons, which make it possible to effectively strike targets on land and at sea.
