The Ministry of Labor explained that with an increase in the minimum wage and PM, the size of a number of social payments will also increase, including payments for needy families with children and regional supplements to pensions.
In addition, on November 10, Russian President Vladimir Putin instructed Government until January 15, 2023 to prepare proposals to accelerate the growth of the minimum wage in Russia. He explained that the separation of the minimum wage from the subsistence level will lead to an increase in real incomes of the population.
To date, the size of the minimum wage is 15,279 rubles. Putin decided to index the subsistence minimum by 10% from June 1. Its size is 13,919 rubles.
