Deputy Chepa noted the timeliness of Lukashenka’s participation in negotiations with Prigozhin
Alexey Chepa, First Deputy Chairman of the State Duma Committee on International Affairs, in an interview with “Lentoy.ru” appreciated the role of the President of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko in negotiations with Yevgeny Prigozhin, the founder of Wagner PMC, who attempted to start an armed rebellion in Russia.
Chepa noted that in the morning he returned from Belarus, and he saw with what joy and pride the Belarusian citizens heard the news about the negotiations between Lukashenka and Prigozhin the day before, since the current situation excited both the entire inner circle of Russia and the whole world.
According to the parliamentarian, the actions of the Belarusian leader turned out to be “absolutely timely and correct.” The deputy stressed that if all the agreements are implemented, this could become an impetus, which was not enough for the fastest completion of the special military operation (SVO) and mobilization of the economy. At the same time, Chepa specified that he did not know the terms of the agreements.
The deputy expressed gratitude to the President of Belarus, adding that everyone “prayed” that the incident did not turn into a conflict.
