The State Duma announced the absence of prerequisites for a new wave of mobilization

In Russia, there are no prerequisites for a second wave of mobilization in the next six months, this would be ineffective, declared Andrey Gurulev, Deputy of the State Duma Defense Committee, reported to Chita.Ru.

The parliamentarian said that he did not see the need to conduct another stage of mobilization in the next six months.

“There are no prerequisites and conditions for this. Even those who were mobilized earlier are not yet fully committed to the battle. Well, our industry should also reach those milestones when it will be able to provide the next wave of mobilization. My opinion is that it is simply inefficient to do this in the next six months,” Gurulev said.

Partial mobilization went on in Russia from September 21 to the end of October. During this time, according to the Ministry of Defense, 300,000 military personnel were called up. On October 31, the Ministry of Defense announced the final completion of all activities within the framework of the call for partial mobilization, including the issuance of subpoenas. Later, this was confirmed by the President of the Russian Federation Vladimir Putin, emphasizing that “the end has been put in this issue.”

At the same time, no additional documents on the completion of partial mobilization in Russia were signed by the head of state. Putin promised to discuss this issue with lawyers, noting that he did not think about the need to sign a separate decree on the completion of partial mobilization. Later, the Kremlin reported that this document was not needed, such a conclusion was made by the state legal department of the presidential administration.

At the same time, he added that “he cannot speak for the Ministry of Defense.” In early December, Peskov called reports of a new wave of mobilization “provocative” and called for focusing on the statements of the Ministry of Defense and the President.

At the end of December, about the possibility of mobilization in Russia spoke out Speaker of the Federation Council Valentina Matvienko. She stated that there was no need for it, and the topic of mobilization was not on the agenda. Matvienko added that fakes about the allegedly upcoming second wave of conscription are a tool of the information war against Russia. According to her, these false reports are created in the interests of the West in order to “bring discord into Russian society.”
