The State Duma adopted in the first reading a bill on the sale of elite housing of corrupt officials at auction

State Duma accepted in the first reading, a bill that allows the sale of real estate received in the state housing stock as a result of a corruption offense, in accordance with the law on privatization. We are talking about housing, the market value of which exceeds twice or more the amount determined on the basis of its total area and multiplied by the average price of 1 sq. m. m in the corresponding subject of the Russian Federation. The document was developed by the government of the Russian Federation.

Now real estate can only be transferred under a social contract of employment, and later privatized. “The indicator of the average market value of one square meter of housing is calculated by Rosstat and approved by the Russian Ministry of Construction on a quarterly basis,” the State Duma website says. According to the Federal Property Management Agency, now the state treasury has 140 housing stock confiscated in connection with offenses.

“At the same time, there are no procedures and grounds for the alienation of residential premises from federal property that enter the state housing stock through their paid sale,” the explanatory note says.

The fact that the Ministry of Finance developed a bill with a proposal to sell real estate confiscated from corrupt officials at auction in March reported “News”.
