The State Duma adopted a law on the exemption from criminal punishment of those who entered the military service

On June 20, the State Duma immediately adopted in the second and third readings a bill that concerns the exemption from criminal punishment for those who entered the service under a contract in the Armed Forces or are doing military service during the period of mobilization. The bill “On the Peculiarities of Criminal Liability of Persons Involved in a Special Military Operation” was submitted to the State Duma on June 13 by deputies Pavel Krasheninnikov and Irina Pankina, as well as by Senator Andrei Klishas.
In the first reading it was adopted on June 14. In the version of the first reading, it was proposed to release from punishment those who committed crimes of small and medium gravity, and those who committed crimes during military service. And only before the entry into force of this law.
