The State Duma adopted in the third reading law on the collection of excess profits from large companies, and also compiled a list of organizations that will not pay it. The document provides for a one-time tax payment by companies whose profit for 2021-22 exceeded 1 billion rubles. The law was adopted in order to increase federal budget revenues.
The tax rate is 10% of the excess profit. According to the law, the payment of tax must be made by companies until January 28, 2024. The law will come into force on January 1, 2024.
