State Duma deputies approved in the second and third readings a bill that aims to exempt from some state duties the heirs of fallen soldiers, police officers, employees of the Russian Guard, as well as civilians who were killed due to shelling or terrorist attacks.

Initially, the law provided for the removal of state fees for registering real estate of heirs of military personnel, police officers, employees of the Russian Guard, as well as those killed due to official activities.

During the second reading, the State Duma approved an additional amendment that introduces a similar benefit when registering the property of persons who died due to injuries received as a result of shelling, explosions or destruction by the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

In addition, with the innovation, heirs will not pay state fees for issuing certificates of inheritance.

The law must come into force on the date of its official publication.
