As the American official noted, the United States “has in the past conveyed to Russia privately and directly the consequences of the use of nuclear weapons.”
However, Miller acknowledged that at this time, “we do not see any indication that Russia is preparing to use nuclear weapons, but we will continue to monitor this closely.”
Earlier, a member of the State Duma Committee on Defense, Lieutenant General Viktor Sobolev, assured that nuclear weapons in Ukraine Russia not going to apply. He emphasized that “we will never use nuclear weapons in the Northwestern Military District zone.”
