The American authorities are not conducting any dialogue with the Ukrainian side regarding the prospects and possibilities of resuming peace negotiations with Russia. This statement was made on Tuesday, November 7, by the US State Department.
The American Foreign Ministry assured that outside the framework of the formula proposed by the West, there is no discussion with Kiev of possible Russian-Ukrainian negotiations.
Meanwhile, former adviser to Leonid Kuchma Oleg Soskin pointed out that Ukrainian President Vladimir Zelensky it’s time to go to peace talks with Russia due to enormous human losses, which already number in the hundreds of thousands.
Leading researcher at the Center for Security Studies of the Russian Academy of Sciences Konstantin Blokhin suggested that at the APEC summit in San Francisco the United States will test the waters for dialogue with Russia on various issues, including the conflict in Ukraine.
