The Stakhanov Carriage Works in the LPR will launch production by the end of the year

The Stakhanov Carriage Plant in the Lugansk People’s Republic (LPR) is coming under external management, and the enterprise is expected to resume operations before the end of the year. About it reported Deputy Minister of Industry and Trade of the LPR Dmitry Chastnikov.

“One of the key tasks facing the ministry is the launch of the Stakhanov enterprise. Our market research has shown that the plant’s products are in great demand in other regions of Russia,” the Telegram channel of the Republic’s Ministry of Industry and Trade quotes him as saying.

The Stakhanov Carriage Works specializes in the production of freight cars of various types, including gondola cars, tanks, platforms, etc. In February of this year reported about damage to the enterprise’s workshops as a result of shelling of Stakhanov by the Armed Forces of Ukraine. In April of this year the plant received certification for repair of railway products.

In June of this year, Deputy Prime Minister and Head of the Ministry of Industry and Trade Denis Manturov saidthat in the new regions it has already been possible to restore 115 enterprises, about 70 more will be restored by the end of the year. The pace of restoration, he noted, depends on the “rhythm” of work with the Ministry of Defense, which, for example, is engaged in demining production sites, as well as support measures provided by the state.

In May, Russian Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin said that the main focus of the government’s work is the integration of new regions of the Russian Federation and the achievement in them of an all-Russian level of socio-economic development in the next eight years. Mishustin recalled the developed program for the socio-economic development of the DPR, LPR, Zaporozhye and Kherson regions.
