Serviceman Andrey Kravtsov, who destroyed the Leopard tank, was paid a cash bonus in the amount of 1 million rubles. About it reported in the press service of the Russian Ministry of Defense.
“These are wonderful additional payments for those who cause significant damage to the enemy, plus what the state is doing. It’s a plus. Not in any way in return. We have agreements. We, in coordination with the Ministry of Defense, are doing this according to agreed ideas, ”said Andrey Karelin, Senator of the Federation Council from the Novosibirsk Region, when presenting the award to Kravtsov.
The award was established by the Union of Entrepreneurs Care of Siberia, who decided to use the tax-free funds to create a fund to further encourage those who take part in the special operation. The press service emphasized that these payments are additional to what the Ministry of Defense pays for the destroyed equipment of the Armed Forces of Ukraine of Western production.
The topic of payment of rewards for damaged equipment of the Armed Forces of Ukraine was discussed at a meeting of Russian President Vladimir Putin with war correspondents on June 13. The head of state emphasized that 100,000 rubles had to be paid for each destroyed tank, and 300,000 rubles for an aircraft. Putin promised to deal with the lack of bonuses for this.
On June 16, the Ministry of Defense reported that since the start of the special operation, more than 10,000 Russian servicemen got payments for the destruction or seizure of military equipment of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. The department explained that all payments are credited to the personal accounts of military personnel after the relevant orders of the commanders of military units.
