The share of the ruble in payments for Russian exports exceeded 50% – Kommersant

The share of the ruble in the foreign trade of the Russian Federation is more than a third, said the acting head of the Federal Customs Service (FCS) Ruslan Davydov. According to him, the ruble accounts for more than 50% of payments for Russian exports.

“In the structure of our trade turnover, of course, the share of the ruble is growing very strongly. For example, in exports payments in rubles have already exceeded half. In imports, payments are still made mainly in unfriendly currencies,” the acting head of the Federal Customs Service told RIA Novosti on the sidelines of the EEF.

At the end of August, ex-Minister of Finance and former head of Otkritie Bank Mikhail Zadornov statedthat Russian companies that refuse to pay in dollars are paid for exports in rupees, which cannot be withdrawn due to strict foreign exchange controls. According to him, this could be the reason for the weakening of the ruble. In the Ministry of Energy it is denied. Central Bank named insignificant balances of rupees in the accounts of exporters.
