The Security Council of Belarus announced its readiness for provocations from Ukraine

Belarus is ready for any provocative actions on the part of Ukraine, declared in an interview with the STV channel, Pavel Muraveiko, First Deputy State Secretary of the Security Council of the Republic.
“Indeed, it is not very calm on our southern borders now, but, as the head of state demands, we maintain restraint and tolerance. We keep the gunpowder dry, we have the necessary set of forces and means that will respond to any manifestations of aggressiveness or a terrorist threat on our territory,” he said.
According to Muraveiko, provocations are constantly observed from Ukraine, such as shooting towards the Belarusian border, violation of border signs, etc., and the republic is trying to conduct a dialogue through border officials and the military, but to no avail.
“Today we are ready to stop any provocation and any terrorist threat, no matter where it comes from, and which can cause any damage to our state, people, our people on the ground,” the First Deputy Secretary of State of the Security Council emphasized.
On January 5, the press service of the State Border Committee of Belarus in its Telegram channel reported that provocations periodically occur on the border with the Ukrainian side, such as pointing weapons at border guards and demonstrating insulting gestures.
In November, the press service of the department reported that the Ukrainian military began to build a fence on the border with Belarus. The height of the barrier is three to four meters. The Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) are building a fence at a distance of ten to fifteen meters from the border, the Border Committee added.
In October, State Secretary of the Security Council of Belarus Alexander Volfovich said that the country would not enter into a military conflict in Ukraine until the state border was violated – “then we will fight back.”
