The Screen Actors Guild (SAG-AFTRA) announced on social media X that union negotiators have rejected the Hollywood studios’ “last, best and final offer,” so the strike will continue. The proposal from the film studios has been discussed at the Guild since November 4th.

“There are several significant issues on which we still do not have agreement, including artificial intelligence. We will keep you informed of developments,” the union said in a statement.

As AFP notes, in recent days the heads of Hollywood studios have personally participated in the negotiations. Netflix co-CEO Ted Sarandos told the agency that negotiations with the Guild will continue.

SAG-AFTRA Members continue has been on strike since July 14 to seek better contract terms from the Alliance of Motion Picture and Television Producers (AMPTP). The strike participants do not star in films or TV series, nor do they promote projects. And members of the Writers Guild of America (WGA) who have been on strike since the beginning of May on September 25 reached with AMPTP a preliminary agreement to end the strike.
