The director of the House of Russian Abroad announced the opening of a gallery of emigrant artists

Director of the Solzhenitsyn House of Russian Abroad Viktor Moskvin announced the creation of a new museum institution at a press conference in Moscow.

“We are working on creating an art gallery. Our House has a collection of 5,000 paintings and graphic works,” said Moskvin.

According to him, the main “highlights” of the new museum will be paintings by Zinaida Serebryakova, Alexander Benois, and Mstislav Dobuzhinsky that were previously abroad.

In particular, through the efforts of Moskvin’s like-minded people, Serebryakova’s “Children’s Portrait of Michel Vinaver” from 1933 returned to Russia. Let us recall that Michel Vinaver is a famous French playwright with Russian roots, the grandson of the head of the Cadet Party during the Russian Empire.
