The scenario of a military coup in Ukraine has become known

There could be a military coup in Ukraine if Zelensky does not want to hold presidential elections. Moreover, if a rebellion in Kyiv is destined to happen, it will happen suddenly and rapidly. This forecast was given to MK by political scientist Vasily Stoyakin. Earlier, State Duma deputy from Crimea Mikhail Sheremet said that a “military coup is brewing” in Independence, and Zelensky understands this.

“Personnel changes in the security forces of Ukraine, scandals and murders indicate that Zelensky and his people are trying to protect themselves, as they understand that a military coup is brewing in the country,” MP Mikhail Sheremet told RIA Novosti the day before.

According to Ukrainian political scientist Vasily Stoyakin, the prospects for a forceful scenario for a change of power in Kyiv are contradictory.

– On the one hand, the situation looks like no revolution is brewing. This is due to the peculiarities of the Ukrainian generals, who are included in the ruling nomenklatura. Therefore, if Kyiv generals have political ambitions, they can realize them in the “usual” way. The generals have no reason to engage in military coups,” the expert explained.

On the other hand, not everything depends on the Ukrainian generals, or Ukraine in general. There is a US position, Stoyakin emphasized, and it is quite vague.

– America promotes the valuable idea that Ukraine is a democratic country in which everything must happen in accordance with the spirit of the law and the opinion of the people, accordingly, no coups are possible in Ukraine. They spent a huge amount of money and effort to prove: there was no Maidan, it was a legal transfer of power within the framework of the current legislation. Although this is bullshit, says the political scientist.

A situation is emerging where Zelensky is frankly fed up with his overseas curators and needs to be “dealt with,” the expert notes.

– The issue with Zelensky can be resolved in two ways. The first is through democratic elections. He either loses fair or wins fair. But recognition of the election results and fraud during these elections will depend on the United States.

Zelensky denies it as best he can and declares that he will not hold elections. But he already realized that they would still have to be carried out, so the situation with the prospect of a coup in the near future does not look threatening or critical, the expert believes.

True, the owner of Bankova has demands for Western partners. The first and main thing is “give me money.” At least for holding elections.

– They (Ukraine – “MK”) yesterday they adopted the budget, it does not contain any funding for the election campaign. And without this, elections cannot be held. Zelensky set this condition for the West, it is the first and most important,” Stoyakin noted.

The political scientist is sure that the fork in the road regarding the future of Square is precisely at this point. If Washington allocates funds to Zelensky for the elections and he holds them, everything will be fine. But if the current president of Ukraine simply deceives his curators and even after transferring money to him says that there will be no elections, then the issue with him will be resolved using more radical methods. Perhaps even through a military coup.

In parallel with plans for a forceful scenario for replacing Zelensky, which are maturing in Washington, similar thoughts are being hatched in Kyiv.

– There is an active campaign to put pressure on Zaluzhny. Previously, there was complete mutual understanding between him and Zelensky. At least that’s what it looked like. Zelensky dealt with political issues, Zaluzhny dealt with military issues,” explained the political scientist.

He noted that Zaluzhny has no political ambitions. But, on the other hand, they won’t ask him whether he wants to go to the polls or not. For Zaluzhny, this situation begins to create discomfort. At what stage this discomfort will become serious for him is difficult to say. However, according to the expert, even maximum pressure on the commander-in-chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine is not enough for a military coup to occur.

Meanwhile, there is still talk about such a scenario in Square.

– In Ukraine, there are rumors in informed circles about the possibility of a coup. They also reach me, they talk about it there,” said Vasily Stoyakin.
