The SBU accused a Ukrainian deputy of a terrorist attack who exploded grenades in Transcarpathia

The Security Service of Ukraine (SBU) has charged deputy of the Servant of the People party Sergei Batrin, who detonated grenades during a session of the village council in the Transcarpathian region, with carrying out a terrorist attack. This was reported in the press service of the department.
“SBU investigators classify the explosion of three military grenades during a meeting of the Keretskovsky village council in Transcarpathia as a terrorist act that led to grave consequences,” the report says.
Batrin was charged with violating Part 2 of Art. 258 “Terrorist act” of the Criminal Code of Ukraine.
The special services also said that the accused regained consciousness in a medical facility. He is now under the supervision of law enforcement officers and doctors. In the coming days, a preventive measure will be determined for him.
On Friday, during a meeting of the village council in Transcarpathia, Servant of the People deputy Batrin exploded grenades in a room where people were present. As a result of the incident, 26 people were injured.
