The Russians called the level of salary a key factor in choosing a job

In search of work, Russians prefer companies that pay better, follows from the data of the Talantist study, conducted by the Russia – Land of Opportunity platform together with the ANCOR staffing group. In addition to salary (81%), the list of priority factors when choosing an employer included financial stability (75%), long-term employment security (65%), a pleasant working atmosphere in the organization (60%), as well as the opportunity to receive interesting work tasks (55% ).
The study was conducted by the method of online survey from 7 to 27 February. It was attended by over 20 thousand respondents aged 18 to 65 years, most (80%) of them are employed in the commercial sector of the economy.
“Some crisis phenomena in the economy actually lowered the motivation of people down on Maslow’s pyramid, as it seemed to us. The first three factors – salary, financial stability and long-term employment – indicate that people are interested in basic things. Moreover, for women in the study, the percentages of these factors are even higher. A curious finding is that these “hygiene factors” have increased in importance. Companies as employers, on the one hand, must provide a basic minimum, and on the other hand, talk with applicants about the working atmosphere in the organization and content of the work,” said Alexei Mironov, Vice President for Operations Management at ANCOR, at the HR forum “Talentist”organized with the support of Kommersant.
According to Rosstat, the official unemployment rate in Russia in February amounted to 3.5%, once again updating a historical low. If in January the total number of unemployed was 2.734 million people, then in February it was already 2.635 million people. At the same time, as Rosstat notes with reference to Rostrud data, by the end of February, 0.7 million unemployed citizens were registered with the employment service, of which 0.6 million people had the status of unemployed, including 0.4 million people received unemployment benefits.
