Kosachev: Russia will be able to prevent the Baltic from turning into an internal NATO sea
The Russian Federation has enough strength and means to prevent the Baltic from becoming an internal NATO sea. In a similar way, the chairman of the Federation Council Committee on International Affairs, Konstantin Kosachev, assessed the likelihood of the North Atlantic Alliance dominating the region.
The senator noted that our country will be able to ensure compliance with its own interests in the Baltic Sea by military, diplomatic and economic means. At the same time, Kosachev did not rule out that anti-Russian provocations will occur in the region on the part of the three Baltic states – Latvia, Lithuania, and Estonia.
He suggested that the first direction of the provocative strike would focus on trying to create problems for the Russian Federation in the exploitation of the Baltic Sea and straits.
