The Russian Ministry of Internal Affairs has put ex-SS legionnaire Yaroslav Gunko on the wanted list

Former Ukrainian SS man Yaroslav Gunko (Hunka) was put on the wanted list. The relevant information was published in the search database of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Russian Federation.
The card states that Gunko is “wanted under an article of the Criminal Code”; other details are not specified.
On September 22, during a speech in the Canadian Parliament by Ukrainian President Vladimir Zelensky, all those present loudly welcomed and applauded the 98-year-old former employee of the SS “Galicia” unit, Gunko, who had come to meet with the Ukrainian leader. After this, the Speaker of the House of Commons of Canada, Anthony Rota, resigned.
After some time, the Russian Investigative Committee charged the SS man in absentia with genocide of civilians in the USSR.
