The Russian Ministry of Defense announced an attempt by the Ukrainian Armed Forces to attack the Crimean Bridge

Three Ukrainian unmanned semi-submersible boats tried to attack the Crimean bridge, they were destroyed by Russian ships, reported press service of the Russian Ministry of Defense.

“Ships of the Black Sea Fleet, while on combat duty in the southern part of the Kerch Strait, discovered and destroyed three Ukrainian unmanned semi-submersible boats attempting to attack the Crimean Bridge,” the report says.

In the Black Sea west of Crimea, naval aircraft also destroyed four fast boats carrying landing groups of special operations forces of the Ukrainian Armed Forces (AFU). There were up to 50 Ukrainian military personnel in the boats, the defense department specified.

Earlier in September, the Armed Forces of Ukraine three times tried attack the Crimean Bridge using semi-submersible unmanned boats, all attempts were stopped. On August 29, the Russian Ministry of Defense reported that a naval aircraft shot down a Ukrainian drone in the Black Sea. On August 28, a cruise missile was intercepted off the coast of Crimea, and on the same day, the air defense system shot down two drones.

In Crimea, the “yellow” (high) level of terrorist threat is currently in effect indefinitely. The republic’s law enforcement agencies have strengthened control over the movement of vehicles across the borders of Crimea and organized inspections of vehicles using weapons and explosives detection equipment.
