The job of this unit is to rescue downed pilots. At the same time, the rescue helicopter is always located next to the attack helicopters or is on duty directly in the strike aviation area.
“Our main task is to search for and evacuate downed and disabled pilots. We are engaged in escorting strike aircraft or helicopters on combat missions. When they leave to strike, we circle the area and wait. At the same time, at the first whistle we fly, pick up the pilots and go to the base,” he added.
