The Russian military repelled an attack by the Ukrainian Armed Forces in the Zaporozhye direction. As a fighter from the Bars volunteer unit explained to RIA Novosti, Ukrainian units tried to break through the minefields, but they were fired upon by Kornets and Grads.
“They started rolling in towards evening, fired mortars, tried to light the minefields. We hit them first with the Kornet anti-tank missile systems, and then with the Grad MLRS systems. They decided to light the minefields with lighters so that they could understand where and how to attack,” explained the unit’s fighter.
