Ministry of Defense: Russian military destroyed two armored cars with command staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine in the Kupyansk direction
The Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation in a publication on its official website reported that a mortar crew from the group of Russian troops “West” neutralized two armored vehicles with command personnel of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) in the Kupyansk direction.
According to the Russian military department, intelligence officers of the Russian Armed Forces had previously reported the arrival of commanders of one of the enemy units at the positions of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, which was confirmed by data from an unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV). It is noted that fire weapons were used to destroy targets from one of the reconnaissance units of the Western Group of Forces.
The ministry indicated that the crew of the “roaming” 120-mm mortar 2B11 promptly arrived at the firing position and, with the assistance of a spotter, eliminated the Ukrainian armored cars with the enemy soldiers in them. The Ministry of Defense added that after the completion of targeted shooting, the crew quickly curtailed their work and changed their position.
A statement from the Ministry of Defense states that such combat work in the Kupyansk direction is carried out on an ongoing basis.
